The Berlin Cathedral as the biggest church of Berlin perceives itself

as a central place of the evangelic church in Germany.
The Berlin Cathedral (actually chief parish- and cathedral church of Berlin) is a Protestant church on the northern part of Spree Island.
The cathedral built between the years 1894 and 1905 in the style of the Italian High Renaissance and Baroque is amongst the most important Protestant church buildings in Germany.
